VoX Communications Corp., eLEC Communications Corp.'s (OTCBB: ELEC) wholesale provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services nationwide, announced today that Carnegie Stuyvesant LLC's Lightening Broadband will private label and bundle VoX's digital broadband phone services with their wireless broadband offerings.
Lightening Broadband offers state-of-the-art wireless broadband services in rural America, in areas that do not otherwise have access to high-speed service. By bundling its wireless broadband offering with digital voice service from VoX, Lightening is able to provide an introductory offer of $39.98 per month for the first quarter of service and still only $49.95 per month for continuous service.
Michael Propper, President of Carnegie Stuyvesant, stated, "Our strategy is to go into underserved areas and reach every household and small business with our offer of cutting edge services at below market prices. Rather than charge exorbitant fees to those that have few options, our objective is to save the consumer, or local business, money immediately and provide extraordinary service. We expect to earn strong customer loyalty through this 'fair pricing' philosophy. We employ several channels of communication to potential customers that all point to the slowness of their current dial-up Internet connection and the high cost of their local telephone service. We take care of both problems, by delivering our wireless broadband product along with the high-quality VoIP product that VoX provides. We anticipate that we will be able to replicate this model in many areas across the U.S. where cable carriers and DSL service providers have been unable to deliver broadband services."
"Lightening Broadband is another example of how any company that offers a quality broadband product can layer our digital voice offering onto their broadband," said Mark Richards, President of VoX. "We are very pleased that Lightening Broadband is capable of bringing our clear, affordable digital broadband phone services to parts of the country that have previously been unable to purchase our product."
